Our Qatar National Day Program Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm
On the occasion of Qatar National Day, a special program was held with the participation of distinguished personalities and was marked by great enthusiasm and celebration.
The opening speech was delivered by Dr. Ilham Bedir, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Afaq Cultural Center. In her address, Dr. Bedir highlighted Qatar’s cultural vision, national values, and the importance of knowledge-based development.
The program was moderated by Buthaina Abdul Jalil, who guided the event with professionalism, experience, and insightful vision.
Participants
Dr. Khalid Al-Ali – Scientist and innovator; the first Qatari to work at NASA.
Dr. Maha Al-Asmakh – Head of the Department of Biological Sciences at the College of Health Sciences, Qatar University; selected among the world’s top 40 scientists.
Mohsen Hussein Al-Sheikh – Entrepreneur and innovator; currently serving as Senior Director of Environment at Hamad International Airport.
Prof. Aisha Al-Mutawa – Director General of the Afaq Cultural Center.
Throughout the program, inspiration was drawn from the words of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar:
“The nation rises with you and awaits you.”
Coming together on this meaningful occasion to reflect on the Emir’s vision and Qatar’s values was a source of great pride for all participants. The program included interviews with esteemed speakers and showcased memorable moments from the event.
